Hi what started as a search for an old 50's era bedford bus has lead me to buy this great little bus a Commer 2500, only plate to find so far is the assembly plate from chyrsler south australia.
The age look's to be 68-70's she needs work the motor has a very bad
knock (bottom end)brakes pump up after 5-8 go's clutch soft but work's
Thinking of fitting a holden(G.M.H)V6 .
She's got two singles up front which extend under the seat's to give length frige and stove on right sink and full cupboard on left .

welcome to the forum, good to hear of another commer convert. holden V6 sounds very interesting - hope you enjoy browsing forum -especially postings by dozer about his V6 commer. Would love to see some pics of your wheels if you have any:p

I have an uncle in aus [8D]He was here this summer I asked if he had seen any commers there he said no [:0]so it's good too hear of yours :p welcome to the mad house :Dlook forward to pic's :p

hi there nice commer but that bus is gorgeous .. mind you my m8s tell me i am weird [^] . like the sound of the engine upgrade on your van :D
 
Hi Rod.. Looks great, shame we cant get em
at that price here anymore..and theres a big diffrence
with the nice DRY rust you seem to get thrre than the rust
in the uk..

What's happening I've just spoke to another guy and bought a van with holden inline 6cyl (202) tran's(unknown) holden diff(unknown) he said it went well but got put aside and not touched since.
She's covered in moss he has shelving for the rear I've only seen it from 50m away thought it would make for great spare parts,he mentioned that he got the shelves from another commer were we live will ask if he remembers where.
cost $50 plus trailer hire $65.
The truck wrecker next door who gave me his name said they
had just crushed a pickup, Bummer.
P.S. the missus does'nt know yet.
Better go find some mental HELP Someone HELP Please.

p.s help is alway's available here,well for anything theoretiacal,we are a bit far away for practical help :)as far as your mental health goes you are commer deemed for life now,apart from that you are abosolutely fine :D(they would only tell you to find a hobby which you have [8D] )

Picked the van up today side door andvery rusty every were,may be able to cut some patch panel repairs out back doors seem o.k. glass motor fitment idea there but some rough bit's too.Will pick it to bit's then scrap it.
Did spot another while back street bashing after returning the trailer look's full side panel but was at a distance away,may drop in tommorrow and ask.
I'll try to get photo's taken but all's geting very busy of late X-Mas /Birthday /wife to settle after all this Commer madness ,and she has to load them for me I'm not compatable with computa .
