Can't resist celebrating my MOT pass on here, I'm afraid.
Been fiddling with the front brakes over the last few weeks, replacing linings (and then re-replacing linings to the correct thickness), brake cylinders and finally brake pipe. Being the first thing they test, I was sh*tting myself for the first few mins, but with the brakes pulling in line the rest was a breeze!
BTW couldn't believe how difficult it was to get some flared ends on a brake pipe... managed to track down an old boy in the back of a road sweeper garage who did the job for nothing. Tempted to buy a Sykes Pickavant tool and offer a pipe flaring service!!
Anyway, best thing about the torment of the MOT is when you pass!!
