Fuel Tanks

OK so after the snakeskin saga I'm probably going to replace the tank. There was one on e-bay recently - was it any good does anyone know?

I've heard that someone here can make them for £180 or so. Is that right? If so, how long would it take and is it ready to go or do I need the fuel sender etc out the old one.

Thanks

Normally get one done within a couple of weeks. I will need your old sender unit in exchange, but you can send it after you,ve changed the tank if it,s easier for you :)

I'll learn to use the search function one day. :I Have a free plug anyway! lol

Where abouts are you?

In fact, could you pm your phone number to discuss?

Cheers :D

I have new sender units in stock now, if that helps :)

Just for reference, I managed to cure my snakeskin woes by using the fuel tank lining kit from frosts automotive. Does a good job and with a good clean and fresh coat of paint the original tank looks like new!

I have one that Tim made if you are interested let me know. I can also get new ones made to the original tanks.;);)
