Fuel tank sender seal?

Quick question, can they be made out of cardboard like a normal gasket? Need to make one tonight.

If you're taking cornflake box as a temporary repair you might get away with it with a smear of sealant, just don't fill the tank right up:I
Thickish gasket paper would be better.

don't use silicon sealant! can go a bit funny with petrol and if you put too much on the excess may squeeze onto the inside of the tank go weird, drop off and clog your fuel lines.
