Front Valance question(s)

Hi all. Can anyone (im thinking Woolfy or Martin) tell me if the lower edge of the front valance is supposed to be joined to the inner front panel?
At some time in the past the lower part of the front valance including the lower two flutes have been crudely cut off and replaced. They also choped off the lower 3 or 4 inches of the inner panel:( There is no rust but the job was a bit rough and i would like to put it back as it should be but not sure how it all went together. Maybe someone could post a pic or two of the area?
I would'nt bother but i intend to go bumperless and it all looks a bit cockeye[:0]

hi the answer to your question is yes as the two panels meet at the very bottom they are spot welded together, as for repairing what you have it looks like your going to need more that just the lower front valance ,you will also need the bottom two flute lines incorperated into it as well.;)

Dare i ask what the cost is? Is this a one off you made or are you doing them now?
It sucks getting this kind of thing here as our Kiwi doller is pathetic against Sterling and the shipping is none to cheap either:(

I'm not actively making panels for people, I leave that to Woolfy. I made these to go on Hazels van, but the cost was in the region of £250 per side [:0]

Thanks for that Martin. Will drop Woolfy a line and see how that goes. If all else fails i will try and find an old school panal beater over here somewhere.;)
Id give it a go myself but i think compound curves, offsets and flutes would be pushing it for a first go[8)]
