Hi all, need your help, been working on the front suspension and there is alot of play in the stub carrier. It says in the manual that the eye bolt will unscrew but i couldn't shift it. Any tips on how to get it out?
Evening Rod. I've not done this particular job but if it's that badly seized/worn then I reckon you need to attack the swine with heat and big hammers:I Not subtle but it usually works for me. Be careful of any seals though and try to remove (or be prepared to replace) any rubber components before you light up the torch[}]
I honestly don't know mate as I've never done it:I If the manual says unscrew it and it wont budge then a bit of heat is the next step - then try un-screwing it
Definitely unscrews, you have to use the end with the flats on and an open ended spanner, after removing the large nut and grease nipple on the other end. Working it backwards and forwards should free it
