it's a pretty standard issue and means the Speedo is shot unless tightening dies work of course. Had it on mine...got a replacement unit from Martin and all good again
It could be the speedo but more likely the cable. You can try tightening it up at both ends - gearbox end is favourite if the cable has bee loosened at some point.
