It has no MOT, is Tax exempt, 80,000 miles, brake pipes damaged and has been quoted £300 for the welding to be done......

Jacking points and outer sill, he said that also included putting through MOT,
I asked why he has not done it himself and he said that the 2 people that said they would do it have not come back to him and that at the moment he has not got the money.

First impressions look OK, doesn't seem to bad from the pics below the plimsole line, interior is very original, not many miles really but i think £1500 might be a little high !!!!

Looks a bit steep at £1500, where is it, someone may be able to look for you [?]

if you look closely it looks as though the two rear lower corners have been flated over or filled. bottoms of the doors have gone also.you could really do with some close up pics of the seams and lower panel areas before commiting to anything, oh and also the underside of the peak, and floor pans. where abouts is it, maybe someone could have a look for you.:p;)

Lol, Commer Radar can loaned for £20 an hour, just stick me in the back of the car and drive, when i squeak, your near a Commer, lol.
Van is up near Newcastle, i may have a job up there this week so hopefully will be able to jump in and look closer and take some better pics.
If not may need someone to have a look
Has anyone noticed the potty in the back ??? apparently it's original and came with the Camper, and will be sold with it, not sure if i want that, lol

I reckon this one looks alright ( Better than the white one ) Love those old curtains;-)

My name is Scott, not Comm-Don!

Spoke to the guy again tonight, and asked if he would be prepared to negotiate a price as £1500 was a little high, the answer.................NO :(
He will except nothing less than the £1500 as thats what he paid for it.
Boo Hoo, my Commer Radar works but needs a little fine tuning i think. [V]

Yes you've got a knack for finding Commers haven't you! Shame, I was up at Newcastle a couple of weeks back, might have been able to look for you. I agree, £1500 is too much, has got to be worth nearer half that value? The roof looks pretty knarly too. Worth taking your time and getting something that's in better nick to save on sleepness nights during ownership (in my opinion)!

Unfortunately just because he paid £1500 for it doesn't mean to say it is worth that, if he leaves it there much longer it won't be worth anything - except the £50 he will have to pay to get it towed away. How long ago did he buy it?

Unfortunately happened to a few people, bought high and can't sell [B)]

its a bit of a mine field really when buying a van of this age because it has its good points and its bad points. firstly look at how good those rear doors are at the bottom, no rust in sight anyware on the doors at all. also look at the seam between the middle rear light panel and upper cone section panel ,again noe signs of rust, but then you look at the frony doors and lower rear corner panels and they look knackered. i think you have to weigh all of these things up to be honest. if you look back at the other white van you found first and compare the pictures showing the rear doors, the pictures are almost identicle apart from the white one has all the rust in those areas i just mentioned. if your not going to buy this van mate can you please pass on the details about it eg contact number ect as my sister is interested in iy cheers.;)

Sorry Woolfy, didn't see your last message until today, yea i'm not gonna buy it for that money so, the Guy's Name is Tony, ( I think it's Tony, oh no not sure,, have spoken to so many people just lately ) and his number is 07933726914, based in County Durham.
Good Luck m8.
