For Sale Commer Autosleeper 65

No the steering wheel IS in the right place, of course you'll jump in as usual and the missus will drive! ;):p...commer chauffeured [}:)]

I think the idea is to open the 'normal' drivers door, take a run and jump in sliding across the seats to the steering wheel. Hopefully it's got a bench seat, it would be a bit uncomfortable with buckets [:0]

Martin just bumped this up for you ;) does yours have a modified interior or are you hiding a bed under the floor [?]

Bed is similar to Autosleeper, but I think this confirms the Carcamper. Martin will be at the CCC National, so will have to wait [V]

hi

we are hopefully going to be looking for a van very soon (the sooner the better for me) and are hopefully coming to martins bash begining of aug to have a look at the vans in person. if all goes well we would poss be interested but i don't really understand how it works bringing cars accross from other countries eg registration and err don't know what else but just sure that there are things to take into consideration.

engine 2.5 litres- is that petrol or diesel? any info you can give me on what i would need to think about re a van from another country would be great. jules

Engines are 1725, not 2500. 2500 is the model number, relating to its carrying capacity.
Bringing older cars in not too difficult, but lots of paperwork. There are plenty about in this country, saves the import hassle.
Look forward to meeting you both at my place :)

hi thanks you are right i am sure will find one over here. think i just getting carried away. look forward to meeting you. jules

yeah i read that too, (after i had posted) out budget really would be 2500. especially wouldn't want to pay out for something i hadn't seen. will just have to be patient (not one of my better skills) and wait for something to come up here. trying at the moment to find somewhere local where we could keep one as we have no garage.

That is nice, looks good and solid from the outside at least, interesting dash rail [^] I think the 2500 on the door is the model (load capacity) not the engine size but I'm willing to be proven wrong. It looks different from the normal Autosleeper, is the raised floor between the benches hiding part of the bed? The Carcamper had that feature, you could leave the bed made up under the false floor and benches, and I would imagine very rare now.

This is very similar to the one Colins dad had, where the bed can be left up and the floor hinges up!!! It used to make it somehow seperate from the rest of the van, like a separate bedroom, if that makes sense????
