Hello there, My name is Telmo i'am from Switzerland and i am selling a '65 Autosleeper. The truck is really great, no rust, the painture it's still from 65, but in very good conditions. I don't know how is the price for that truck. I will take some pictures tomorow morning and i will be post it...
Let me know if any of you are interested.
The engine is a 2.5 liters, 4 cilynders.
And, if the price is good for me i can go there with the truck.

Wow! She is in very good condition. I love the colour too! The steering whell is definately on the wrong side though. Well spotted Martin!
 
That is nice, looks good and solid from the outside at least, interesting dash rail [^] I think the 2500 on the door is the model (load capacity) not the engine size but I'm willing to be proven wrong. It looks different from the normal Autosleeper, is the raised floor between the benches hiding part of the bed? The Carcamper had that feature, you could leave the bed made up under the false floor and benches, and I would imagine very rare now.

Well, the engine, as i know is a 2.5 liter, but maybe i'am wrong, so let me check the engine number and i will be post it.
 
I've no idea of what the market for Commers is like in Switzerland but if it is as good underneath as it is on the outside I could see a right hand drive version going for in excess of £2500 over here. It is definitely not an Autosleeper so could fetch more but the position of the steering wheel could put a lot of people off in the UK.
I don't claim to be an expert and might be totally off the mark but it is a very nice van.

Just a question about the age and conversion.

What year did the front panel change to the smiley grille with indicators and the roof and windows don't look like an Autosleeper. Is it a Carcamper as suggested by Panky? If so, it must be pretty rare. [?]
 
What sensible scenery to own a commer camper in[^], and what a gorgeous van-love the colour and would be great if it turns out to be another rare van saved.

If you did decide to sell it around £2500 in this country at least it has the price already in chrome on the door[:0];)

Very difficult to value for swiss market though - do you get many people who ask you about it when you go out driving? - commers here seem to get a fair amount of interest

Well, as i understand the price is about 2500, so if any came to search here the van is ok for that price, but if you want the car there in uk for 3500 i would do bussines.

It is a Car-Camper conversion, not an Auto-Sleeper. It is the IIIA model with the ready-made bed built into the floor! It is also based on the Commer 2500 chassis, which must be confusing the owner with regard to the engine size? The front grille is correct for year, that grille was added from August 1965 when the Commer 1500 became the PA.;)
