To be honest they're both good cars, two different solutions to the small car question. Oh, and don't compare the Imp's race-bred all alloy ohc free revving engine with those noisey air-cooled rattly things! :D

This could also apply to that other answer to the small car question, the original Fiat 500 and the later Fiat 126 (the lorry driver's ashtray). We had a Fiat 126 for a while and it always sounded like someone was chasing us with a lawnmower :D - lawnmower was quicker though ;)

fiat ,whatever you do, dont park it to close to the commer though, as it has an even worse rust bug and could jump across onto your pride and joy,haha.[:0];)
 
They certainly used to rust, I remember our 126 had to have its first rust treated while still under warranty at less that one year old! [:0]

They are not so bad now, my wife has a 15 year old Punto Cabrio with no rust whatsoever, just a bit of laquer coat fading on the bonnet. [^]
