For Karen

awe come on folks, 49 views and hardly any comments? we can do better than that surely...... myself will donate asap on the 20th ....x

having lost my dad to cancer only a couple of months ago I know what an awful thing any cancer is to go through. Donation made

My father died of pancreatic cancer almost six years ago, he truly was my best friend. Since he died I haven't managed to form a relationship with anyone else on the same wavelength. Obviously I miss him and think about him everyday, but I can laugh about good times that we shared together. My commer project was started with the money that my father left me, he would of been so proud of what I achieved having had no mechanical experience prior to starting. So my thoughts are with Martin.

Shocked to read this. Martin's local to me but I hadn't heard. Karen herself told me when she became ill , A really lovely lady and v hospitable when we called on them.
Panky can you let me know any more, Steve W can give you my number or Baz can reach me
Steve & Jacqui

I am no good at this sort of thing Thinking of you all & looking forward to giving Karen a good send off at commer fest & remembering so many good times.

The amount raised so far in such a short time is a testament to Karen and the warmth she had. Thoughts are with you Martin.

I have been amazed at the response to this, I can't thank everyone enough. It now stands at over £2000, Karen obviously touched a lot of people. Hopefully this will help stop this happening in the future.

Cancer sux, my thoughts and best wishes are with Martin and family at this time and with anyone who is suffering from this terrible thing.

Hi All, just got my internet connection sorted out after nearly 6 months and seen the extremely sad news of Karens passing. A truly lovely lady who always made you feel welcome and made you feel part of the Commer family. Donation sent to Second Hope in Karens memory. So sorry we never new about the meet you organized, Martin, we would have been at here without doubt.

The JustGiving page is currently at 382% of target.
I never met Karen, but I have briefly met Martin. Having lost a very close friend in April to this terrible disease, and watching another slowly recover from it (!!!) am very happy to donate.
Let's hope the incredible medical progress being made continues.

Heidi & I have signed up to do a sponsored walk next month, we are going on a midnight stroll around Edinburgh on the 10th June the walk is 26 miles and we are doing this in Decorated Bra's Yes that's Right I will be putting my man boobs to good use and filling a 36 B decorated with of course flashing lights. This is to raise money in Karen's memory. We have set up a everydayhero page for all our Commerades to make a small or large donation in Karens name. If you would like to donate please use this link http://wtwalk.org/moonwalkscotland2017/heidi Many thanks in anticipation, Bernie & Heidi
