Fonty last night (en route home from the barn) got treated to her favourite thing.....ORANGE FLASHING LIGHTS [B)]. She had another date with the RAC. She drove really well, but driving home on the A1 with the radio on, the lights and then the wipers she just died! It was pretty scary in the dark but cara was following so we had her hazards to save us from many artics flying past. I didn't have a torch on me so couldn't really investigate - however a RAC man checked and found that the alternator is on its way out. It was charging at a really low rate.
We thought it would need replacing as the casing had really melted during her really hot heat issues. We had no idea if any damage had been done, but had thought it likely. It's just unfortunate it was there and then. I'm going to steal one from my sisters partners capri and hope that that gets us to yorkshire! If not we will charge the battery, travel in daylight (and silence) and risk it!!
So 12 months MOT? Yep. Rollin?....ish!!
