Indeedy. When we actually get to go away in her (50th meet) she will have a trunk on her one off roof rack, and my short legs may just about reach!

I've some Ford Tractor Blue kicking about so the grey primer will get a little colour soon. It'll be a bit of a quick/crude job done by me, but it'll look better - in pictures if not in the flesh :D

looks so much better without those stupid rubber mounted indicators [^]
can see why they were added at the time so no offence to who ever did it ;) have you added orange bulbs do they flash ? :I

It's just the clear flashing bulbs at the moment...a period feature! I may put in orange bulbs though for safety. The wiring to the centre console is a bit lose and dodgy to as they come on and off depending on how bumpy the road is! So no dusk and night driving for a bit!

Jon&Cara-Gramarye Fontaine

modern motorists won't know what clear flashing lights are may think you are beckoning them on orange bulbs if I were you & preferably not as & when [8D]

I'm liking the look Jon - our pas both have
- non standard engine
- auto box
- no bumpers
- different wheels

Fonty has an interior though :)

Keep it shut racer....it's our handy work :D;). I always favoured Rover V8 engine :)[B)]

Took her out again today. I only went about 12 miles and she was very very hot - 125 degrees (just over the top red) but I did want to test her in the afternoon sun. The weather is looking to be 28 degrees on Friday, do you think it is wise for me to travel the 60 miles to the barn and then back again in her?

She is getting a bit tatty having spent a bit of time in the rainy summer. I shouldn't think you should copy that Scott! Nor you actually Admin - you should have a air few more years before that!

I'll try get some bulbs tomorrow Chris ;):)

You want to keep that lovely pinto :D:D
just bring water and take your time ;)

I'm thinking IF I actually leave when I say I will and get to the barn on time.....it won't be too hot!

Are you sure that's all I need??? No cherries or cream, not even any sponge type burnt thing?

Wow you've not stopped this year! Looking very good, those wheels are a very original choice too. With a bit of spit and polish they'll look even more awesome. Something sounds seriously wrong with your cooling system, have you thought about getting a re-con rad and is the water pump working as it should??? I know the Commer's cooling is marginal, but yours sounds non-existent at present.

See if you can use one of those infra-red digital thermometers and check the temp of the rad and hoses etc. Andy's (Thowman) Babs was going into the red on the gauge but when we measured the temp of the hoses etc all was fine. Maybe the sender/gauge are faulty or mis-matched?

Peggy drinks too much!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

My dad will sell me - and then the Commer Chris! Plus I am going to 'view' something else hopefully tonight - I came accross my first Barn find (although it was in the guys huge garage I was measuring) which I may try to buy with non existant funds :I/ go halves with my sisters boyf. It's not a commer though, nor a van!

The guy is moving to Cyprus and doesn't want to take his bits with him. He has a Jenson 541 which is part restored if anyone is interested and a E-Type Jag (original chassis and engine but with a fibreglass body) AND a car from 1911 which is the only one left...but I can't remember what it was! Day...something?

Anyway, back to Fonty - Yep, new ali rad, new water pump and new thermostat a few months ago so they should be fine. I am intriqued by the infrared temp thingy though, that would be interesting to use to see how hot it really is - but it is really hot!!

The wheels do need a tidy up but that'll be a while off yet.

Is it worth me getting another new headgasket Tim?

Jon&Cara-Gramarye Fontaine

No, the head gasket isn,t blown............yet [}:)]
a chocolate fudge sundae is more useful ;):D
