fitting seatbelts

looking at maybe fitting seatbelts to my 63 Maidstone . or even isofix for babyseat (though a seatbelt will secure the babyseat).

Sensible mod, are the mounting points already there?

Worth giving him a call, if there aren't any he could fit some while it's in.

Just wanted to say that you've got one very fine Maidstone camper there (seen it on another thread).

And good luck with the seat belt/ISOFIX project. I think you're just one of many here on the forum who have challenges in meeting modern day child safety requirements in yesteryear vans.. ourselves included.

So what happened to the good old days when you'd sit on your mum's lap in the front seat if your big brother couldn't stop bullying you in the back seat? :D I remember when my dad retrofitted front seatbelts in our 1969 Opel Kadett sometime in the mid-70s. We never had any in the back for us kids.. (although that situation changed in the mid-80s when my parents bought a '83 Volkswagen Transporter 6-seater.)

All the best of luck with your Maidstone - and the seatbelts. :)

Hi Simon, I fitted inertia reel seat belts to my camper and the company on ebay sent me an extra set in error, so if you want them they are yours for free, if you don't mind paying for the postage?
Send me an email if you are interested:)
