Frodo and Yori are going in for their checks today.

Frodo as you may know started and is running so can be taken out for a nice ride and a to do list for MOT.

Yori failed to fire but was turning - no smell of petrol so we siphoned the stale fuel and put in some new but there may be a blockage as there was still no smell in the carb.

Let's hope the garage man can get creative! By lunch we may know more chasbaps has the day off to oversee proceedings

Hopefully Frodo will need a bit of tape over a rough edge to get his MOT, and nothing more than that. Yori's depends very much on whether or not we can get her going. If nothing else that would be a good result from today.

The trouble is garage man is able but may not be willing when it comes to starting Yori up
 
Well, we spent 15 minutes trying to start Yori, to no avail. The engine is turning, we tried various magic potions in the Carb, but the root cause seems to be no fuel making it that far.

Frodo started fine, and made it into the garage. we did a MOT appraisal, where the following were identified.

Fuel leak at the fuel pump - probably just a missing clip
Front to Rear brake line corroded
O/S/R suspension damper leaking - just an advisory
Exhaust mount broken - looks like a bit of lino that should go from the chassis to the pipe
Front brake pipes corroded from master cylinder - He thinks they are probably solid and will just brush up.
Sharp edge on the sill at the front - someone has tried a filler repair, but it could do with tidying up.

Not too bad, and the garage said they would do the work, but can't fit it in until August. :(

However they did all of this for free. :)
 
Yori is booked in with my regular garage now; he seems VERY keen on the challenge.

Operation tow yori is go!

Glad I didn't sell the trailer to martin now!
 
Sounds like you have some good garages in your neck of the woods.
Frodo did pretty well - august will soon come around[8D]
Best of luck with Yori, hopefully something fairly basic for fuel supply probs.

Sounds like there will soon be 2 more for the on-the-road head count, wonder if DVLA have records of how many are left?
