just for the record. i honestly take my hat off to mart for having followed this through and having them made, i have nothing against him for making them as it is a free world. and hope he gets some sales to help him re-coop some of the money he has had to invest. as for metal v plastic, it really is down to the people who are going to restore their vans to decide which route they will want to take. both lots of panels have their good and bad points ,but both have cost alot of money to re-create, so we shouldnt knock either.

For me structural panels obviously have to be steel. For the rest it will probably come down to available funds at the time. Although the lack of rust would tend to draw me towards grp for certain panels. So, I'll probably end up putting money in both of your pockets.
Perhaps you could still have a light-sabre battle some time, just as entertainment for us of course!

i think about a year or so ago we did breafly talk about doing something together, but nothing came of it .and to be honest the distance between where we live in the country would cause to many problems i think and i couldnt see it working really.however if he wants to make me a nice big offer to buy ccp from me and become no1 supplier hes more than welcome to tempt me. but you have to remember when buying or selling a buisness just how much time the person has put into it by sourcing supliers ect and also how much money has been ploughed into it, and lastly how much you would stand to gain from futcher sales to come.( so its not cheap.)[?]
There is a lot to be said for competition - even though you are both catering for different parts of the market. So lets keep it friendly - and competitive. There is a rivalry built up by others, rather than you two, and there is a mutual respect between you that could only come from pioneering individuals who understand what it is to invest in a product and take a chance that others will buy into that investment - for the good of the Commerunity as a whole.
