We have a fibreglass wing and bonnet fitted to our cf with no real problems.If originality is important you can always resolve to replace in the future.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, I just repaired our drivers side step to the pb with welded metal (and the wheelarch).
There was a previous patch repair preventing the door from closing properly. Now it does with a quiet clang instead of a cringing crunch!

yes the ones that are made out of the same stuff as the dash

I put this question to my MOT man, prior to having them made and because of the way they are constructed, he considers the external fluted cills, not to be structural, but the inner cill must be rust free.
This is of course, is only his view. They are allowed to make some judgements concerning old vehicles and another MOT man may disagree

mmm very nice indeed martin.if i may make a suggestion though mate. i think people need to see some of these delites actually fitted to a restoration van ,so they can see for themselves how much work has gone into re-producing them and how easy or hard they may be to install,as you will already probably know, when people see a finished item it can only help sales.[?]

Steel versus 'plastic'. Hmmmmmmm..........steel is arguably stronger but then grp doesn't rot, and can be lighter and therefore quicker. Perhaps Martin will be able to dodge the cut and thrust of Woolfy's cold steel and get in with a quick jab leaving those annoyingly itchy grp splinters in Woolfy?
