decided to take a look(with grinder)at the peak tonight-looks like major surgery is required on the girl.previous owner(s) have used rather a lot of filler, will be posting pic's soon. p.s is there any resto pics on previous threads?-TA
if you check out some of the vans on my web site at http://www.coventrycommerpanels.co.uk/ you will be able to see in some of the resto pictures how to do it. we can also make you an inner and outter peak repair panels if needed.
hi there woolfy, will get some pics posted tomorrow so you can av a look. p.s will be contacting you in the near future to purchase some bits and bobs-just need to raise some bread.
I did a patch job on Harvey and it worked quite well - but that was before Woolfy did his repair sections. If I was to do it again I know which way I would go and it wouldn't be a patch job:I
Here's how I did it, it goes on for a bit

very interesting stuff-am tempted with patching the old girl up as funds are tight at moment, luckily i work for a small motorsport product manufacturer(so have quite alot material at my disposal and some very experienced old boys). will keep on digging to see how far the damage goes-still have my fingers crossed at mo.
cant find my trumpet at the moment-but yes not too bad with a mig welder(using father in-laws at mo(clarke turbo 150,middle of row. changed the 1.0mm wire for 0.6mm(this should make things better/ not trying to build a sherman tank ha ha.
repairing the top of the roof might not be to difficult for you to do, it will be the underside of the peak which is the biggest pig of a job. but like i said we make a panel which once you cut out the old inner paek the new one will go pretty much straight in.
