The polls are closed and the votes have been counted but Lucy didn't win[V]
She has asked me to thank everyone who took the time to tick the box so thank you one and all for your support[^] I said before that I thought it was the wrong way to choose a winner as it relied on how many Facebook friends you had and not on pure talent - but that' the way it was done right or wrong.

Sorry to hear that. However, I'm sure this is not the last we hear from Lucy. It is just a question of time before she is awarded another big commission. BBC Young Composer of The Year, you don't get that title by accident! Pass on our best wishes, John, and all the best for the future. :)

Ex cornet player with Askern colliery Silver Prize band has voted. I concur with the above comments on nimrod and cant sit through "brassed off" without getting misty eyed.
