I have started to try and get the van going replaced plugs,points ,coil,leads,rotor arm,condenser,Dist cap and still no joy after checking I have no live feed to the coil for some reason,have checked the fuses all good this is really frustrating as electrics are not my strong point so any advice will be greatly received Mike

As a temporary fix, run a wire from the +ve on the battery to the +ve on the coil just to see if it will start.
