Over 3 years ago, Commerchris spotted a Commer in a garage at Barwick in Elmet, not far from me. I went to look at it, but it wasn't for sale.
Over the weekend the guy contacted me and a sale was agreed
On closer inspection, it turns out to be a very early(B reg) sliding door Autosleeper. Unfortunately time has taken its toll and the body is completely shot, no back windows or pop top and no interior. I'll post pics later.

Nice one! I'm hoping the one I know sat under a car port will one day be for sale ha. I just need to keep nagging.

Pays off though. About 4 years ago I found out of an mk2 escort sitting in a barn. They said it was not for sale. Anyway over the weekend I got text asking if I still wanted it, went and had a look and bought it there and then. I only paid £150 for it as well! Good things come to those who wait!

Think she's a keeper TBH lots of space in side and.a little more practical the the mini. I think I'll get it on the road and flog my clubman. That way I'll still have my red mini with the race engine as a toy. Escort as a cool retro daily with a nice engine in it and a commer for a weekend party bus haha. Think that will be a pretty cool 3 car garage! Just need to get them to flog me the commer have for £50. I'll keep working on it.
