engine troubble

Probably have to change the sump, front mount plate and other ancillaries, but otherwise, yes.

Swap the sump or youll never get the engine in due to the sump fouling the steering assembly, engine front plate which means removing the timing gear,the hunter exhaust manifold will foul the chassis so you'll most likely have to source another manifold with the correct inlet/exh port pattern from another Rootes engine, or swap a head from a commer unit.
Water pump will best be changed for the commer unit and so too the thermostat housing is different.The hunter rocker cover will also foul the lip of the engine bay compartment
Otherwise yes, i fitted one earlier this year with the above mods.

Your ambo is a PA yes? I couldnt fit a 1725 in mine for the reason paulfordy said (found out the hard way) the biggest problem being the fouling and the oil pickup is at the wrong end of the sump so you cannot change it for the correct sump
