Engine hatch seal thingy

Hi Folks,

How's it all going?

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the seal that goes around the inside of the engine hatch, please?

The rubber that is on there is about 3 inches short and probably isn't helping with the fumes getting in the cab.

Until you can get a new seal (no idea where from) you could try filling the gap with silicone sealant, put some cling film over it before closing the engine cover down, leave it for a few days to set and you should get a perfect seal. The cling film should stop it sticking to the engine bay edge. Worth a try.

could try East Kent Trim supplies or Edgeware motor rubber & trim unless some one has one kicking around ?

IF it's just a case that the rubber has shrunk I'm told that you can warm it up with a hairdryer and restretch it. Not tried it myself yet....
