My Spacevan engine cover is missing the seal. I'd like to fit one but the issue I have is there is a lip around 2/3 and the remaining 1/3 doesn't. Can anybody provide pics and or a source for a seal/s please. Cheers
Martin does the seals, there is a channel that runs around the inside of the lid and the seal has a corresponding tenon like section to fit in the channel - if it's the same as the Commer lid.
Thanks Colin. That's what I was after. The lower panels have a lip that looked like they should have a seal on them but the front section doesn't have the lip. I'm assuming you used both seals
OK so this is what I did in the end. 2 different seals one is a generic door seal, the other a 90° one , roughly the same height once fitted in. They sit into the V in the top cover.
I’ve never thought about that so I’ve just had a look on mine. I must have the luxury spec seals. Some sort of duct tape covered in colour coded paint with some blue foam shoved on the lid. Nothing on hole. Tight to close though. I did feel a bit odd after about an hour driving so opened window. Can you get poisoning from poor sealing on hatch? Manifolds are newish
