This thread has definitely got my attention. I had a 2 litre 8v Cavalier up to last year, a Diplomat and I am still regretting not keeping the leather armchairs that passed as front seats to fit into Harvey [V]. The engine had done well over 180,000 miles and pulled like a Big Brother winner in a night club when the head gasket went for the second time. Unfortunately it was a week before we went on holiday and the rest of the car was starting to need work, so it was declared an uneconomical repair and traded in at a car supermarket. Cracking engine and well suited to squeeze into a PB [^]
panky and dave jones pay attention! yes the spare 3ltr engine is available for purchase and was in good nick when removed from my written off carlton, and for you panky i have the half leather front seats same shape as diplomats available aswell and rears if you want material for rear cushions to tie it all in

where were you all when I sold 2.0i litre cavalier for the engine on ebay recently? I got the grand total of £4.99 for it[:0]

they are grey leather with grey flecky infill with light red flecks vague i know but thats what there like, look nice and very comfy not heated tho and yours cheap whenever ready cos there in shed

Had a major disaster with original seats [V]. I had them stored in the shed at the bottom of the garden, been in there for years anyway I opened the door to get a garden spade and noticed a cardboard box that had some old 8 track tapes in was looking a bit damp. I dragged a load of stuff out of the way and everything was soaking wet, smelly and mouldy. The seats where in a terrible state with woodlice making a meal of the rotting seat bases [!] and the cream vinyl all mildewed and stained [xx(], the variety of insect life would have made David Bellamy very excited. Not even 'Amerzin Vikleen' would shift the stains and I resorted to bathroom mould and mildew killer which seems to work quite well. They stink of bleach at the moment so I've got them hanging up in Harvey's enclosure for a while until they dry out and the smell disappears. If the covers are OK I still recon I'll have to make new seat bases and maybe fit new foam, serves me right for thinking about replacing them [V]. The Cavalier seats do sound quite nice though.

oh boy [)]you must alway's check on stuff as regular as possible to avoid these mishaps I hope your seats survive
)]you must alway's check on stuff as regular as possible to avoid these mishaps I hope your seats survive engine is as removed (no gearbox)with things like starter,alternator,injection system and some of the wiring loom that i cut to get it out, i have an ecu but would rather keep that for the one i run at the mo im afraid.

I know its only a small thing amongst your major mods. But I was wondering where you got the rectangular bracket (looks to be stainless) for the washer bottle. Do you know what vehicle its sourced from, or did you make it? Ive just got a washer bottle hanging in mid air
