Engine Bay Ruber/Gasket

We have just been tidying he engine bay up bit and taking the panels off so that we can get the new carb fitted. The rubber/gasket that was all around the whole engine bay is practically all but gone.

Does anyone (martin?) make these or have a spare, or is it a case of cutting and shaping it ourselves!?

http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/ they did me something that fitted beautifully for the engine cover, and the doors and the window seals and insulation.....

Thanks for that, i'm sure i can get something done - they have an awful lot on the site!

cut a small piece off & send it to them they should be able to match it for you if not ask for some free samples ;)

Hi Guys, it's not for around the actual engine lid, but more so around the panels - the panels that unbolt to enlarge the engine bay!

Ah- you just need the thin rubber strip, I can do that ;)

has no one found a proper rubber replacement ? Not knocking yours Martin its just that its smaller than the original I think ?

I have never used it for that, Commerjules used it on his. He has fitted it to the bottom instead of the lid, should work OK.
There are 2 different types of genuine ones, neither available, if there is enough demand, I'd get them made ;)
