end of summer meet

Hav enot been on for a while my better half is a teacher we could be up for a trip to Gloucester although my van needs a big re-vamp inside and out but it is road legal. Would be good fun.

Managed to spend a couple of hours on the van yesterday. All is not well however.Whilst fiddling in the engine compartment I managed to snap off the L.T terminal on the distributor, ergo no ignition.Have a replacement just need time to fit.
Was going to have another look at my brakes to see if I could correct them, the problem that has now arisen is a leaking Brake fluid reservoir.Have decided not to rush this task so will be having a week off work soon and will try to sort the problems out.
This means that we will be uable to attend the gathering 2 weeks from today, and I was so looking forward to it.:(
We will be going to the Malvern Classic on the sunday so will hopefully meet some of you there.:D

I have not had the chance to talk to other half yet with a view to a possible camp over, so may get to see you all on Saturday.

would you believe it! there i was wandering around this site and i stumbled across this old posting and thought gee that sounds a laugh especially if the new people read it and decide to come along![8D]:D:):p;)[^]
 
Evening everyone - long time no post! In Italy at the last meet and at a christening weekend this time round, just not our luck - still we made the inaugural meet, something to tell the grandkids about! Had a few trips away in Dotty this year, always lots of interest in her, you meet a lot of new people when you drive a Commer.
Have a good meet, and a beer or two for us. Hopefully see you all at the next one - roll on 2008!

Hiya Trev, did you get the loose steering wheel sorted out? Don't forget to send Admin some pics of Dotti1 to post on website :)
 
All fine since you tightened it cheers - serviced since and all OK. Sink now works as well - nodding dog for the front - nothing else needed!

Mind you we used the sat nav recently in Dotty and think the heat from the engine in the cab completely bu**ered it (thats not buttered by the way!)

Charlie we are up for coming down is there anywhere I can pitch a small tent for my two large boys. I will bring van but still in a state but to swell numbers and break a record or two it will be good fun. Are you going to post the address etc time of arrival and akll that on the forum. Can we ring to arrange deposit payments etc.
 
Have to say that things aren't looking hopeful at the moment for getting there[V] - will still make best endeavors to make it of course and will be gutted if Bessie & I can't join you all as it sounds to be a really special line up but may have to wait until next meet. Will be keeping everything crossed in the meantime:)
 
Just checked my roster and im off for this weekend will have a word with the mrs see what i can do will come in my van to. Will get back to you :D[8D]
