electric fuel pump

hi all what type of electric fuel pump should I fit, will this one do the job ebay no 261060771194 or is there a better one I think Im going to be having some fuel probs and the fitted pump is a sod to get off so I thought I would bypass it so as to make it easier to clean the fuel lines ? plus Iv just snapped the looking thing off the glass top

Looks like a bargain, but you may need to fit a regulator as I think the carb only needs about 1 1/2 psi - so it could over fuel.

Dead easy to fit but will be more expensive than the pump, search for Filter King. It would probably be cheaper to go for a lower output pump - or a new glass bowl;)

Iv had a rubbish restoration day to day Iv started to reconnecting the wiring now the roof is fitted ,because iv used the wiring from the new roof to fit back in to the original wiring and as the new roof has extra wires for the newer wiper motor you can guess its not making much seance and to add to that it didn't come with a indicator arm so I salvaged the one of the newer van and gues what none of the witres match, then the top wouldn't come off the fuel pump ,I think I've drawn sludge from the old tank up the fuel lines

It's the fiddly bits that can be the most frustrating and take up a lot of time. Just stand back and look at what you have already done, things you didn't think you were capable of a few months ago, then get a length of wire, a bulb and a battery to make yourself a circuit tester and get stuck into the wiring - leave the pump for another day;)

It's a bit expensive but here's a fuel pump kit that will do it.

There a re some 1 1/2 to 4 psi pumps on there for about £32 but you may still need a reg.

Still haven`t fitted mine yet:p need to get it done soon.

If pressure is too much you could maybe fit a resistor to drop voltage to 6v?? reducing pressure and speed??

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

I have fitted one of these, although a little noisy they work fine. Also left original in place, just added some oil inside the bowl to preserve diaphram. Just in case the electric one fails.
