Hi all, been a while! So happy NY if not too late. I’ve just started playing with fitting a EWP from Davies Craig (fan already installed). Doesn’t look like It’ll fit in with the current water pump and thermostat combo - I don’t have the most common one for alloy head motors. However in my spares I’ve found one of these different types of WP’s that might be better for space and fitting a EWP so….i was wondering is this the type of WP people have and managed to fit the EWP with (ok Panky I mean you ) ? I seem to remember trying the original alloy head pump but discounted it for some reason. You can get round the problem by making up a plate and elbow to replace the pump completely.
Out of interest why can't you use the original pump body? I did with the spindle hole welded up, I moved the rad forward to make room for the DC pipework.
 
It was just that that space is so tight as the flow in to the old pump comes out towards the chassis (rad is forward already). I prob can get round it with a Heath Robinson pipework set up. Was just wondering the flow in pipe direction of another setup but seems you’ve plated yours anyhow. No worries ta Panky
 
Using the old water pump and will find someone angled pipes to make the EWP fit. Cut a few bits off the pump housing I think I don’t need to make more space - now just need to find someone that can weld some holes up!
Also ported the inside ;)
