Ebay sale

Hi Katie, welcome to the ranks:):D Good to hear of another Bessy - if your Bessy turns out to be as well pampered as my Bessie then you will have a great time.:D

Your interior layout not quite the same but very similar to mine - and it works out really well for weekend breaks as you have everything you need without having to move too much out of the way, and no wasted space due to engines being in the way.;)

Happy commering, enjoy[^][8D] My Bessie looks forward to hearing about your adventures;)

Morning All,
Thanks for the welcome.

I fear I have made a mistake.

I just told the owner that I dont want to buy the van off ebaay/

.......I thought that the van ( bessy) had been previously bought by "commermark" and was full of filler.

I thought this to be the van that had bees sold from some dodgy classic car dealer in leeds?

Have i just got my wires crossed?

i think the van that is full of filler is the one thats been in storage for 13 years. It was a different colour. Yours is blue and white and the other one in question is a pinky sort of colour [:0][:0][:0] I think anyway[:0] :D:D:D

I think you have bought the said van but all said you still haven't paid over the top for a commer taxed a tested (filler aside).panels are being reproduced by our very own woolfy ;)commermark lost a lot of money on this one,his loss maybe your gain ;)most commers need lost of tlc & most have rust just don't look up [V]it is a passion & they do require welding tlc & maitainance,if you don't have someone who can help maintain her, might be a wrong move but if you don't mind the odd problem to overcome they are a lot of fun [8D]these guy's are a good bunch 7 a lot of fun to meet up with :pdon't be too hasty [8D]

If it has MOT and TAX then you may get chance to enjoy some weekends and see how you get on - the fact that it has MOT should be a good sign as would pick up structural problems there (MOT inspections seem to be pretty well policed these days) as Chris has said, the fillered bits are repairable with the wondrous Woolfys' panels if you have the means to get them done - and most campers this age will have come into contact with the rust monster at some stage.

Have some synthetic implants in Bessie here and there:I and just keep an eye on them and get the rust treament out when needed - and am happier knowing that replacement panels are available. Could be worse - could have looked like this

steady studio my no.1 looks very similar [:0] question is would you get rid of it now if you still had it ? bet the answer is NO :D

Would never been able to get rid of it if Bessie hadn't turned up - the roof was no longer attached to the body, nothing left of footwells or any panels up front from there down, suspension and exhuast rotten, no floor left above rear suspension hangers, nothing much left holding windscreen in, as well as the usual rusty culprits, and I didn't know of the wonderful woolfy then - but you're right - I still would have kept it if was my driveway:I

These vans sure have a way of getting into the heart that the newer stuff doesn't inspire - but that maybe just 'cos I'm a softie[:X]

Up for grabs again [:0]
