What a brilliant picture. It looks so much like market day at Frodsham - not far from me. The PA must have been about 8 years old when the picture was taken - looks in very good nick for a working van [^]

Seeing the Boots right behind the van reminded me that I saw a new Boots chemist here in Oslo a couple of days ago. That is a first! I got so shocked that I almost ran into the car in front of me!![:0] Think I should celebrate the arrival of Boots in Norway by buying a couple of hot water bottles, which could be needed. Just back from an hour long walk this afternoon - in snow and minus 8 degrees! Cold? Yes! [:(!]
 
I think you're right, same pressing pattern on the roof.

I can get rid of the hotties when I drive the Mini now - new heater fitted today and it actually blows warm air[^] Not like the other one that blew steam out of the vents - wasn't very good at de-misting the windscreen :I

and I love that "one spot/foglight" tradition they had at that time (look at the front bumper of the Commer).

In this country too, If they had additional lamp at the front there would normally just be one - not two auxillary lamps like the norm is today (if any at all..). And usually completely off centre, just like in this picture.

They were probably very expensive at the time - or used too much of that precious electricity from that dynamo fed electrical system.. :D
