yes
got so many projects under way something has to go
cob is nearly there just got to drop the running gear in
avenger tiger is two weeks away
race car is finished
then its the venezia
look nice on your drive tho

the venezia would probably sweep off your drive as its holier than the pope.
For anyone wanting a virtually purely cosmetic i.e no structural welding this vans worth every penny because as you know 4K SOON disappears at a restorers if you cant weld yourself and when you take into the cost of fabricating or buying panel work aswell your miles infront.
The fact aswell that once that broken spring is changed I reckon it would probably MOT and if not it wouldn't fail on a lot as ive done quite a bit on it is just a huge bonus.

It could be, make a nice Maidstone clone - but it would be a shame to convert it:I

wouldn't sell it to be converted
these maidstones are FAR too common:D:D:D
this is much rarer
4500 views with 192 watchers some loony give it away bids but a couple of serious ones as well but not quite enough to do a deal
martins old pickup is going to jim shortly and there maybe movement on another but that's up in the air at present
need the space as weve been hovering up other rootes stuff

Hopefully tomorrow weather permitting. Going to be an interesting drive back with it not doing more than 3 miles in a few years, not sure it'll have a heater as a '63 :)

I've got AA relay at the ready and dodgy stick on plates from Towsure (one sprayed white!) pain not being able to get them made up anymore without the V5..hoping the Police will have better things to do than pull people without proper ones in this weather.

Wish me luck!!!

Thanks all for saving me a small fortune - RH to add the van to my existing policy till Feb...£5.78! RH rock.

Interesting with the pricing and may explain some getting half price quotations...the pickup is going to be £60 a year to insure and the camper £170. After asking - it's all due to the value (£4k difference) and the age 1963 as opposed to 1979.

So with the free tax (that was the best feeling in the world on the DVLA website) and £60 insurance - free motoring - forgetting the £500 each MOT ;-)

Does that mean you've bought it?

That explains it! Confused because a good friend was one of the serious enquirers.

That's him. Unfortunately circumstances dictated he had to (very reluctantly) step back.

Well a funny night all round...took the high risk option and drive it back, 60 trouble free and then stopped 5 miles from home, surprised made it that far really. AA just picked me up loaded the van up and halfway on could see a stream of something squirting 10 ft across the bypass...hydraulic fluid from the ramp mechanism...very ironic. Currently sat in the back of the recovery cab, the A61 half closed off cause there's oil allover it...not sure when ill get home but pretty sure they won't be able to get the van off the wagon for a while :) what happens next...maybe an even bigger one gets both of us... I do love Commers.
On a positive note the pickup is cracking... rough as boots, was thinking of restoring it but reckon it would be sacrilege, you can't create 40 years of bumps and knocks easily :)
