Hello,

It's a "Deluxe" model, hope this means that it has the extra strong turbocharged 2.5 liter engine and disc brakes all round and is 5 inch wider so I can sleep properly in it.....
Cheers,

David

I have the original brochure for the CI autohome - for that, the deluxe model had the additional luxuries of an ashtray & seatbelts

Bloody Commer`s!

How about putting a tow bar onto the commer and then you can tow the jag when going camping and then you have the best of both worlds.

The wheels look fantastic, I prefer that look to Rostyles any day[8D][^]

How refreshing

Good thing: I has an MOT (in Holland that's for 2 years on classic cars)! :)

Bad thing: They called that it had an MOT but wouldn't start afterwards... guess the Commer was shocked that it was such an easy MOT and decided to give up on the fuel pump.... already ordered a new one which is on the shelve, but did'n now I had to order a gasket for it... so will get the electric one from the Herald Coupe to get it home.

Still pleased though that the didn't fail teh MOT, it just failed life afterwards...

what did you use to clean the underside - it looks spotless

First started with a hammer to knock of all the old underseal, than a scraper. When it was down to bare metal I brushed Fertan (anti-rust treatment) on, then Hammerite and underseal to finish (with a spray gun). The rear half took about 2 days of labour. Ohh and you get really dirty.

Also had the front wheels made wider (to the outside).

Looks fantastic David, must make the working day long, looking out the window, longing to be driving home :)
Did you have any problems, with the extra width on the wheels?

I paid €40,- a wheel. buying alloys is far more expensive.
The ride quality has improved beyond my expectations....
