drivers window channel

Got showered in rust today when opening the driver's window, it looks like the metal channel insert which holds the felt seal has gone and transformed itself to rust.

Does anyone know where I can get another one?

Hi Rupert,

I am into vintage Austin 7's, my father makes his living from selling new parts for them. He sells window channel felt, it's "U" shaped, metal backed with a felt channel inside it, I have a feeling it is called "furflex" or something like that.

If this is what you need then give him a ring on 01225 868696 (Ian Dunford), have the measurements of the channel to hand and he'll compare with what he has. Tell him you have a Commer and son called Rory, he'll enjoy that!
