hi bud no to the question if its alloys you want as the nuts r shank ed . the commers got thick studs so you av too drill the wheels to take the shank ed nuts .. got a shop near me does any thread of the shelf ..nuts or studs .. £1 a piece 4 nuts . I'm crap on here give me a phone no and I'll ring you

got 4car garage in the back garden . well it is my garden ain't much room 4 anything else .. rest of toys live in there .. if i kept the a35 it wouldn't stay as it is . would shorten it like they do the minis but i would have to give it an independent rear end coupled via a doughnut to the box ..to allow suspension to work ..no disrespect intended but i hate front wheel drives with a passion . so that rules out mini running gear in the front no room in the rear .. so to much work .. at the mo :(

[8D]SHORTENED A35 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, YEEEEEE HAAAA [^][^] cheers dozer 01763 853776.

the mini has traction problems too ,fights for grip and torque steers [:0]. also has a crappy gearchange linkage which costs 1/2-1 second on the quarter mile, get it right and its mid 13,s.:p,should top 140mph [^]

Hi Dozer have been reading your comments storyies etc with interest.
I like the shockers you have fitted how does it effect your van ? would you say it takes some of the rock and roll out of her. Did you also mod the front suspension to match?
If the mods are benifical what would be an estimated cost to convert a customers van to the new set up.
Are you going to advertise your van on Ebay or on here, might be interested, as its an almost finished van Im just starting on mine.

hi Barry it is very beneficial it totally transformed mine . didn't do the front as mine works well with whats there .. i added spacers to the front to widen the footprint on the road .. and being a 1965 van it has the larger drums so it stops very well .. will advertise on eBay under hot rod as have had a fair bit of interest on the custom show scene . cant see a normal commer owner paying what iv been told its worth :( would be looking at at least £4000 still cheap .. as the work alone if you had to pay some one would b an arm & a leg .. let alone 4 a van that is totally rust free underneath & very little anywhere else . its still got its original crockery . superb cond cooker .. multi changer etc

Hi Dozer, interesting to hear you spaced out the front end, how wide are the spacers and did you need to limit the lock to prevent the wheels hitting the bodywork.

hi .. my spacers are inch each side .and no mods to the arches or lock had to b made .. may differ on other vans ????

Thanks Dozer, did you fit longer studs or were the spacers bolted on first using the old studs with the new ones fitted to the spacers.

hi panky to keep weight down on the front i used alley ones with extended studs that screw to the old ones then the spacer fits over .. of the shelf .. rears had to make my self as the capri axle is four stud & i wanted 5 ,, so had to move a stud on each half shaft so i could drill 5 holes between 4 .. only need one spare then ..

yep it has and a tear was shed ( soft sod) but i was a bit naughty coz i wiped a couple of final bids [}:)] coz this fella paid the reserve plus i got a new toy to pass on :D:D he picks the austin up tomorow:(:(:([V]
