So last friday we decided that Fish and Chips was needed.
Saturday we set off for West Bay in Dorset. That's where the bikers go for their fish'n'chips. (Those who aren't in Matlock Bath anyway)
Parked in a small site on top of the cliff at Eype (pronounced Eep) a mile west of West Bay. Walked along the beach to get our evening meal with the bikers, and walked back along the cliff in the dark to the van.
Then the wind got up, and in the wee small hours the van was threatening to blow off the pitch. Suddenly, within about five seconds, the gale stopped completely, and in the calm, the rain started in another five. It was truly weird!
We woke on Sunday to a beautiful clear morning.
This is the view from the nearby beacon.
Good weekend!
