sorry to reserrect old threads but i'm ghaving a go at the lock on the rear doors of our van. manage to get the whole handle out but can't seem to work out how to remove the barrel - is it likely one of the barrels you have chris will work for the rear doors too?!?
at the moment the lock does lock and unlock ok but it doesn't actually need a key, you can pretty much just turn the key slot with your finger nail and it'll unlock[:0]
any ideas how to remove the barrel from the handle and whether i can get a new barrel/ fix the current one? thanks!

We have a Rear door handle with lock removed from 1 of the vans & haven't got the pin out?(it's seems to have a pin through it ? )
so now will have to send commeracer away to investigate further,any tips any one? sorry not much help,,do you have a key with a no ? I may be able to match it, [email protected] if you would like me to look.

do you mean you can match the barrel to the key?!? surely aren't they all different or am i being naive?!? i shall check the key tonight...
when i removed the handle the whole barrel and pin were still attached. to be honest i've started to think there's not much point bothering to sort it, atleast it locks and unlocks... if you can match the barrel to my existing key then it might be worth it but i don't really fancy another commer key!! the van needs 4 keys already!!
granted someone could easily get in with a screwdriver but then i guess they could anyway - if someone really wanted to break in, there's not much to to stop them in a commer van - considering the amount of rot in the van, they could probably just punch a hole in the body work!!

The barrels & keys we have,the keys & the barrel have matching no's...however there are a few replacement keys seperate & a few barrels seperate...I think! yes I think they have different no's...
so if you want a new barrel,or a barrel & key we could help,but you are still left with the problem of removing the barrel.
It might be easier to get another handle ?
