all lined up fixed in position where possible the back end is sagging a bit but when you pull it up it sits great
next i need to tackle the small section at the rear under the door piller that the spring hanger welds to. mine are totally shot so i need to figure out how they go. search engine time i think but if anyone has any tips i would be greatfull?

Nice job Paul don,t worry too much about replicating the parts exactly, think it through and just design something that fits well.
Try and get rid of any water traps or ledges where mud will sit
"You,re only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off"
will do m8, i was debating sealing the gap between inner and outer sills at the bottom the filling it in with expanding foam so it is watertight and had extra insulation but i think it may be a bad idea as if i had to remove the panels again it would melt or worse [V]

Alfa Romeo had the idea of filling sills on the Alfasud with foam in the 1980s. It didn't stop the water getting in, but once there it trapped it nicely and allowed it to rot the sills from the inside out! [xx(]
Excellent stuff Paul[^]
The original door pillar bottoms had curved ends (you can see them on Martins parts diagram)but squared off is not a problem and yes they do sit inside the rear sill and are spot welded in just like the end of an outrigger.
cool, thats what i was gonna go for. started getting dark towards the end so i went upto the loft and got my home made lead light haha. dry and bright now. so who thinks my rear arch design will work? haha

new floor edging made up and trial fitted today i think it was the hardest panel i have made yet :I outriggers are easy but because of the small gap between bends i struggled a bit at first haha.
i was not sure how im going to sort out the join behind the wheel arch yet so i made the edge deeper so i can trim it as needed. i was thinking about putting an upwards bend in the floor and then spot welding and sealing the inside of the wheel arch :I

**** [!] got a bit carried away and cut the rear corner. was all going so well till the whole rear quarter dropped [V] managed to clamp it in rough position but it looks like i may have to weld the rest in then sort the last bit at the rear out last
on the plus side. my entire inner sill and floor edging is in place and all bolted tight
i think tomorrow i may stick a jack under the new jacking point and try to line it all up properly and bolt in a bit of metal to hold the rear corner together for a couple of days as i need to cut the jacking point out but i dont want it to drop any more i figure once the jacking point and outrigger are welded into place i should be able to cut the rear corner without it dropping again. feeling a bit of a plank atm but hey, it could have been alot worse

cheers m8 i wont make that mistake again lol. but on the bright side it has all bolted up really well. and i can lean all my wieght on the new outrigger without it moving and im not a small bloke as you know i was gonna use self tappers but i got totally f'd off with breaking silly little drill bits [!] so i used a bigger 1 and bolted it all[}]
