well i got fed up with the rain stopping me[!] so i decided to take the plunge and start stripping the back out[8D][B)] got in the back and realised that BOTH side windows are leaking [V] i think they need new wooden frames, and my sunroof leaks a little. dis-connected the fridge and cooker and took the fridge out then set about the seat frames. all of the screws were rotten so i had to gently pry them all out didnt notice before but both rear seats can be front facing. result [8D]. then tackled the passenger side cupboards (had to pry the base screws again[V]) i have now stripped one side bit hit a really annoying problem, i cant move. bits everywhere[V] and its raining. i was gonna put them in the garage so i could carry on but my uncles trike is in the way[!] its a proper tool so im not gonna pull it our in the rain (he really takes care of it) so i have had to stop and hope it stops raining soon. the inside of the side gutter has had filler plopped here and there to glog tiny holes so this will need sorting as well. unfortunately all the leaks have eaten away at a lot of the wood so this will need sorting. the ply bottom just turns to dust when you touch it lol

yup. to be honest it dont really matter. the way i see it everything i weld now i know i wont need to worry about again for a long time lol. so its all good. besides. the side guttering is not to bad. you will see in pics later mate. could probably be patched in one 1" strip right the way along, but i may just replace the lot with some wollfy panels lol

Very similar damage to what I found in Harvey, only a bit more of it:I Do me a big favour and before you start welding remove that quilted lining, I did an experiment and put a flame to a piece of it. It burns like mad and gives off very noxious fumes[xx(] I replaced the lot with a heat resistant table protector of very similat pattern - I tried the same experiment on it and it wont burn
Been quite nice here today got all Harveys brakes done.
yh, i gotta pull it out anyway m8. may go for that idea myself as its looking a bit rotten[V]. but the roof lining is knackered so i may use corded carpet up there. hopefully tomorrow i will have the back emptied out. not sure how to take care of the side window frames[?] maybe make new frames up and seal them to the ally frames

The wood is only trim, the windows are screwed and sealed to the side of the van. It may be that the drain holes in the frames are blocked up and the bottom channel is filling up with water.
