I was only last night wondering where it was you had gone. Welcome back
cheers guys, i have really missed spending time on my camper the last year, im now in a better work situation (although still on min wage atm) but it has its perks, the owner just got himself a warehouse twice the size he needs so ive dropped a few little comments his way and with a bit of luck i may have found winter storage for dolly apparently our local classic show is next month so im hoping to go there as well. word has now got about that i have a classic and i always go the extra mile for classic owners, so now most of the local classics come to me for tyres gotta love my job

well now im gutted [!] tried to get dolly running last night after i had been called into work. got some leads on her as the battery was not fully charged after standing so long. wound her over.....nothing [B)] fuel is fine so think it must be grotty points. didnt have time to clean em up properly but i cleaned em up a bit and she did try a couple of times so hopefully i will be out there tonight or tomorrow cleaning everything up and getting her to run again [8D] but... my brake peddle keeps hitting the floor, pump it like a pervert in a brothel for few mins and it comes back, then goes again a few mins later. no sign of fluid leaking but if thats the case there must be air getting in as they was fines when i parked her up. was really looking forward to doing a boot fair in her this weekend as well oh well, these things happen :I[8D]

It looks like you've got air in the system. Check the pipe that goes from the fluid reservoir to the master cylinder, it's common for the steel sections to rust through or the rubber bends to perish:I You may have lost the level and drawn air in[xx(]

yeah thats what i was thinking, although i changed that pipe already but i wonder if it could have worked loose. hopefully its nothing major but on the bright side she looks better for a good wash. poor old girl was neglected over winter [V] still, im hoping to use her more this year and hopefully get my guttering replaced as well as window frames. she leaks quite bad atm so need addressing before the winter hits again [^]

Hi paul welcome back. Pedel problem sounds like a seal in the master cylinder has given up. Happens when they are left sitting for a while. A little moisture gets in around the rubber boot on the end of the cylinder and causes a little rust. Once the brake pedel is operated it grinds away the edge of the seal alowing the fluid to bypass it. A good clean up and a seal kit should have it sweet. Looking forward to seeing some pix of dolly on the road this summer (just going into winter here)

if thats the case i wouldnt really be surprised :I she went through her mot time a couple of months ago with only a few advisories but i havent really touched the brakes at all since i owned her, i was told she had new rear cylinders but i was intending on changing the brake perishables all round before i put her on the road [^] sadly this didnt happen due to us being rushed to move [V] i just hope i get to use her more this year as time is very short at the min. i never seem to get time to spend on her. i will have to make it [}][}]

WE HAVE LIFE 20 mins spent cleaning and tinkering and she now starts properly again although she still runs a tad rough when cold, i suspect the mixture is wrong but i dont know how to adjust it on an SU carb lol. unfortunately on checking the brake fluid i realised... There was none [B)] guess i know why my brakes keep fading lol. so need to top it up, bleed it and try to see where its escaping [^]

Hi all. just a friendly message to say hi really. i havent been able to get online recently as i have been transferred at work and have no pc at the min i hope you are all well and i am now looking forward to resuming my beloved project i had been thinking seriously about Selling dolly as the last year or to i have been on minimum wage and just cant afford to do anything on her. so she has just sat there [V] it seemed that i only had 2 choices, sell, or watch her rot. but this transfer means that i get a nifty little bonus scheme which seems to pay out well needless to say i have named it. the dolly fund. half the proceeds go directly to dolly allowing me to keep her :I and i have booked a few days off in june to work on her guttering. anyone know how much the side gutter replacements are[?] gonna be needing them, and a brake line set as one of mine burst. i dont wanna mess about so im gonna change the lot and get rubber kits for all the cylinders as i dont know how old they are. i have recently got my hands on 3 Lovely matching tires so on the look out at work for 1 more to match [8D] they are 197/70/15c Hankook's so i need to fit a couple up just to make sure they dont rub or look stupid but hoping they go as the are all like brand new and matching and they[8D] cost me £15. RESULT
