Does any body know how heavy?

Hello chaps new to the group, just bought a Dodge Spacevan coach built camper. For transportation purposes does anybody know how heavy (ball park figure) it is?

Approx 2 tons, dependant on the conversion.

You will need a 7.5 ton wagon or 3.5 ton trailer.

Our Highwayman is about 1600kg.

Sure, can post some pics when I get it here. The guy did say it comes with an old log book which has on it taxable weight 1318.6kg. Does that just mean how much load it can carry? Many thanks Dan.​

The chassis may have been rated for 1318kg, but with the coachbuilt section in place there is no way the payload will be anywhere near that. The weight of the vehicle very much depend on what camper conversion it is, as Martin says. If you can post a picture of it, we'll probably see what conversion it is, and may be able to pull out some data on it based on that.

This is our mid-60s Highwayman, and despite its relative bulk it is still only approx 1600kgs. More or less the same as a modern mid-size saloon or estate, believe it or not.

I was surprised to find that when i had my 1970 12 seat bus weighed for licensing it was just under 1500kg.
