When Lulu is finished and come home to roost one of the places I shall be visiting, in my family history search is Newry so a short trip and I could be knocking on your door, hoping for a good cup of char.:I

ps. if your engine is as good as this cup of tea that I'm drinking it'll be very good
Lulu, you'd be more than welcome and i make a great cup of tea! I live about 20 minutes up the road from Newry, but do expect to listen to me bang in about the trials and tribulations of Lola!! La-La La-La Lola . . .
Don't forget to ask your new mechanic if he can get Lola ready for the MOT, as if he doesn't do them himself he probably has a garage that does do them and are sympathetic to the older vehicles.[:X]
Oh how I wish garages did MOTs over here! Sadly in Northern Ireland we have to go through government run test centres. What I have worked out though, is that it's best to go for an evening appointment, when they've more time for a friendly chat ... That's my plan anyhow.
On another note, I just saw, for the first time ever, mot spot checks on the roadside over here. Essentially you can be failed at the side if the road even with a valid mot certificate - do VOSA do that in GB??
This is some of the paper work that I got with Lulu when I bought her a long long time ago. As you can see it's for a test for her at Enniskillen in 2007. Unfortunately I haven't got the results of the test.

Wee update: it now looks like Lola will be getting a brand new bottom end after all. Thankfully I knew what the mechanic was talking about due to other posts on here. Also getting a new exhaust and radiator recoated. Lola might just last for another 40 years!! La-La La-La Lola . . .
