It should be kept as original as possible on this occasion as it is in such good condition 
Thats my opinion of cars if it's rare depending on how rare, condition,the more rust the more mods you can get away with.You couldn't do it to the detector van for example as its the only one we know of in existance. I paid way too much for my riley it was quite badly put together so I allowed Tim to get creative he wouldn't have been allowed to do as many mods if it had been a really nice example,we probably would have fallen out over it
I like both original & modified cars for different reasons it's lovely to see nice unrestored cars in good condition there is an a35 on ebay that tickled my fancy the other day I even went back for another look 1,000

i used to be from the keep it as it was club,but over the years came to the conclusion that its your vehicle,your money so do what you like to them, modded two of my singer vogues much to the disgust of the owners club but only improved them to cope with modern traffic conditions and with modern wheels
