well the van is all stripped down in the back all remains is the floor and carcasses ready for new fronts and new flooring:) everyone of the window catches was broke and held closed with cable ties and string:( have now fitted nice chrome sash window fitting ones[^] in the cab door panels removed for recovering and all facia panels including the one on top by the demister vents looks a real mess at the mo but should really look great in the next couple of weeks:) and before you ask NO i still have no pics:I my ignition barrel is currently fixed just under the lower facia tray would it be a pain to get hold of a original barrel and fit back to the steering column where it should be[?]

nice to have an update [8D] might be worth asking Martin Maltas Steve Williams or some of us might know about the barrel(I don't sorry)show me pic's I might be able to help ;)a seperate thread may help.

instead of taking pics guys what i was planning to do was charge an admission fee to climb aboard at baz,s meet to try and recoup some of money spent on it[}:)]:p:D

help needed please[?] i got the steering column ignition barrel off martin m to replace the under tray one which i wasn,t keen on. i have part fitted this today bar the wiring. can anyone please tell me which colour wires go onto the numbered terminals 1-6 as the one fitted was a different layout, not sure if it has 4 or 5 wires now:I thanks

if no one can help,find a local mobile auto electrician,I have the no for one I have used,he is good & will try & talk you through over the phone,he came out to me he spent an hour or so, £40.00 invoice iirc it saved a lot of issues further down the line also took a look at another vehicle while he was there to confirm our diagnosis [^]

thanks chris but i dont really want to fork out £40 if i can help it:( would it be possible for anyone of you guys/girls who has the ignition on the steering column to take a peep to see what colour wires go onto which number;)[?] would be most grateful[^] cheers

red and white - 1
2 brown wires into a choc box to a single wire - 2
white-3

thats all the wires connected on mine, hope I looked at the right thing.
