DODGE SUPERVISTA

Cheers Mr P - yep Tim tank so shouldn’t be any crud anyway really. I’ll whip it off and hope it makes the difference.
It also started with a few hot start issues too but fitted this sleeve and all sorted instantly

Yep get rid of the filter by the pump first but I think you need to look at the ignition circuit too as it's doubtful the fuel system will be restrictive with a Tim tank

Just think it’s taking a while to get fuel into and out of the second filter. Going to replace the one way fuel valve (maybe leaking back) and remove that second filter. If that doesn’t work I’ll move on to the ignition system but once it fires it fine.
I’m only talking 5 seconds to fire but that’s on a hi torque starter so would really struggle on a standard one.
I’m just greedy and want instant start like it used to be :)

Ahh an NRV but usually an electric pump would push the fuel through and build the pressure up. If it's slow to come through then yes there could be a restriction, take the NRV out of the loop and see if that improves things.

Ta - will do, got a new NRV to fit just in case but maybe removing it might help. Thought if it’s old and leaky it might be draining the fuel back to tank so taking a while to come back through

The postie turned up 30 mins ago with the new 8mm to 6mm straight through connector - just replaced the 2nd fuel filter with that and hey presto it fires up from cold on the first crank. Love an easy fix :)

Next one is why my electric fuel pump always seems to pump (the usually clicking) and always has done - thought that might be due to the filter too but still doing it. I always assumed it should build pressure then stop pumping. Wondering on an air leak between it and the tank might cause that to happen - One for next week :)

It’s a facet but the black plastic half cylinder type rather than cube.
Good to know that yours does that too, maybe it’s a feature :D. Online people seem to talk about them going quiet once pressurised and mine has probably once or twice in 5 years! I’ll maybe put up with it then

Ta again Mr P

Broke the bank a bit!
Surprised they say it shouldn’t need mounting with how heavy it is! Will see how it pans out once fitted.

View attachment 10090She’s alive!!! The setup appears to work well but still needs a road test. Love the ‘run on’ function.

Can’t seem to post the video unfortunately.

I love the run on function too, it’s made a big difference to my van, I’ve not had a super hot day to try it but I did go out on a day it was 28 and thrashed down the a47 in 4th at 60mph. I just about got it to go to 90degrees! Most of the time it sits at 85 - 88. Having a motorsport fan as a ‘puller’ and the scoop flipped makes a big difference as well
