DODGE SUPERVISTA

Yes blown away, was planning to rubber spray them but not sure it’s needed now. Will post a few more pics once I’ve completed it. Next it the rest of the cab which is good anyway but want it perfect!...and quiet :)

I've never actually seen a Commer with covers and soundproofing. Fab restoration work!!
What is the fibre under the rubber?

It’s dodo mat for the anti drumming and then just a standard under bonnet style sound proof fibre mat, pretty cheap stuff. I already have it under the engine cover and front engine panel which made a big difference in itself

Started on the dash today, was planning on a vinyl recover but after hearing good things about rubber spray on dashes thought give it a try...does a perfect job and a tough surface, do the rest this way based on the results. Still a bit of drying to do so should dull a bit more.

Next job! Always known there’s one bit of rot on the van so thought time to sort it out, So took the windscreen out on my own, not sure I’ll do that again, and after flapping back looks like old crash damage and rot, bit weird really but not too bad as localised at least. Have started chopping out and got some new metal from the legend Mr M, he was even kind enough to chop an old rotten van front upper corner out for me. Screen frame metal to cut out and then chop down the Martin panel to size and then some careful welding.

We likes a bit of fabbin'
Be careful welding around that area, I'm pretty sure part of the loom comes down through the frame.

Yes thanks Panky, saw that thankfully it goes up through a recessed panel behind where I’ll be welding so a bit worrying
