DODGE SUPERVISTA

That’s neat. Probably sucking eggs but it’s called kader ‘rail’. I got some from my local metal fabricators for my carport cover for a solid edge to tension off. I was thinking of something similar and heat welding the strip with the kader in it onto a sheet for an awning.
if you didn’t know it comes in different diameters.

Not the cheapest things at nearly £50 for 2.5m but they seem to sell a lot (dem rich VW owners) well made and couldn’t find anything else similar out there. Still available on eBay

Yes Keder rail, always wanted to fit one but didn’t want to drill the roof and this the first I’d seen with a system to avoid that.

Always nice to get a little bonus. I’ve started the cab Refurb inc. new vinyl dash, quarter lights, window felts and extra soundproofing and deadening all over, help with talking at 60mph. Door cards off and never noticed before that it has deadening mat included as standard...must be a luxury factory addition :)

Completed the rear damper refills tonight, not took the van out but just bouncing in the garage it feels a lot more stable on the rear. Went with SAE30 fork oil in the end rather 50 weight oil as the dampers seemed in very good condition and a test fill was so stiff could hardly move it, still 10 higher than standard and as it’s not a coachbuild so probably lighter in the rear anyway. Used this, about £10 off fleabay.06FBF8F7-86BF-4526-907E-1C546F4C93FC.jpeg

Those were the days... I just turn a knob a couple of clicks now.
Show off :). Yer as said tried the 50 Mr P but felt so stiff thought it might damage them. Can’t wait to take it out this week to feel the full effect of sorting the front and the back suspension and all the brakes!

Stripped and ready to start major soundproofing, dashboard recover and general tidy up of the pillars etc. and maybe a full front end re-wire while the dash comes out. Anyone done one before? Any tips?
Also got some original wheel arch covers that are very worn in places, anyone got tips on fixing holes rubber? Found some Putty that dries to a rubber so going to give that a go before respraying them with rubber finish paint. We’ll see how it goes.

don’t throw anything away..amazing what a bit of super glue, tiger seal, polish and graft can achieve, blown away by the results like new! Just to coat the back in rubber paint and add new sound proof material.
