Chris, yes the rules on sheds and outbuildings are the same everywhere except in Conservation Areas. You can find all the details you need on www.planningportal.gov.uk (or you can ask me if you need help).

Here are the piccies of my Renault. The red one on my drive is my spares/reference car (it is destined for restoration when the first one is finished). The other car I bought fully restored!!!!!! Once I cut the shiny metal off, you can see what I found underneath, so I am slowly un-restoring it, cutting out the rot and repairing it. There are no panels available, so I make them up as I go along. The rear wheelarch has been the trickiest so far.

Hats off to you it needs to be done. I don't remember seeing one like it, don't recognise that tailgate, what vintage is it?. Parts must be a nightmare to find.

The red one is early 1973 and the maroon one is 1972 (possibly the earliest surviving TS model in the country). Body parts are non existent, so I have to make my own, but mechanical parts were shared with other models. It was quite advanced for its age, being fuel injected, 5 speed gearbox and disc brakes all round.
The red one has a removable roof panel with a full width electric fold back roof underneath and is over-engineered, being built to convertible standard with dirty great girders underneath and bracing pieces at the corner of every aperture. The standard sills are 2mm thick to start with!
