Dodge Coachbuilt

I wonder if this camper might have dodgy paperwork. It is listed as a red van on the DVLA website. If it was manufactured in 1978 then wouldn't it have the later style plastic front grille etc? Buyer needs to check the chassis number.
 
1977 was the change over year to the big grille, it could easily be possible that an old style chassis/cab was hanging around at the converters for many months and then at the dealers for a while longer.
Alan (Beachboy) does buy and sell vans so not unusual for him to sell one on for a profit, it's what he does. He's sold some lovely vans in the past, some very rare examples - Arthur was one of his for a while Edward:)
 
Just registered as red, not as a van, also says the revenue weight is 246kg! It says in the ad that it's been re painted, so they probably didn't inform DVLA. I have had '78 registered vans with the old style front, just that they weren't register immediately after manufacture.
